The Feel is one of the projects closest to my heart. It is part of a 20-cube collection created with my talented colleagues for a university project. Each cube in the collection has its own unique topic and story, and they are not related to one another. This 30x30x30 cm cube, however, became a personal representation of my adaptation journey in Austria, helping me navigate the challenging first months of immigration. Through this project, I discovered a method of expressing myself beyond words, which I now apply to other concepts in my work.
The cube combines unconventional materials with classic model-making techniques, pushing the boundaries of texture and form. Encased in a clear, solid frame that symbolizes a well-grounded self, the cube has a translucent surface that offers a glimpse into its depths. This symbolizes feelings that are present but not fully revealed.
At the core of the cube is a mysterious inner peak covered in unexpected materials. It represents life’s uncertainties, appearing stable but only truly understood through direct experience. The surrounding vast empty space signifies the opportunities and new beginnings in my journey.
This project is not just an exploration of form and texture. It is a storyteller of my innermost emotions, a reflection of my journey, and a discovery of a personal design approach that continues to shape my work. The Feel is a narrative of growth, exploration, and the joy of creating something meaningful through collaboration.
